George Earl Christianson, 89, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, Aug. 15, 2025, at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Rosemarie K. Christianson.
Born in Bethlehem, PA, on Oct. 1, 1935, George’s parents were Reverend Earl H. Christianson and Ruth Witte Christianson. He was a 1953 graduate of Lebanon High School, a 1957 graduate of Lehigh University, and a 1961 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, where he learned to love the Green Bay Packers. Upon returning to Lebanon County, he was admitted to the Lebanon County Bar Association in early February 1962 and hoped to remain a member until at least Oct. 1, 2025, his 90th birthday.
The Honorable G. Thomas Gates was his preceptor for six months, a requirement at that time for admission to the Bar. He served as the first Second Assistant District Attorney, then Assistant District Attorney, and finally District Attorney for 15 years. He loved the law, his yard, and Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his children, Jessica Christianson and Joel Christianson, married to Mia Christianson; his grandchildren, Wyatt Wren, Mia Xoxo, Atlas Blu, and Anjoux Bijoux; and his much-loved college friend and golfing partner, Lynn Shumway. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara.
A reception will be held on Sept. 9, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Lebanon Country Club. If you wish, in his memory, send a donation to Coleman Memorial Park or Friends of Coleman Memorial Park at 1400 W. Maple St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
