George L. Harris, 90, of Palmyra, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of the late Anna Mae (Bowman) Harris, who passed away in 2003.

George was born in Pine Grove on August 22, 1932, to the late John and Lizzie (Wolfe) Harris.

He had worked as a routeman for a vending company. He was a member of Encounter Church/Palmyra Brethren in Christ. George loved his family.

He is survived by his children, Larry G. Harris of Lancaster, Brenda Bell (Alan) of Palmyra, Wendy Dewalt (Craig) of Palmyra, Kim Harris of Lebanon, and Sharon Fitting (Tom) of Lebanon, grandchildren, David, Brian, Nicole, Dalton, and Tanner, great-grandchildren, Krysta, David, Addison, and Turner, and a sister, Joyce Miller of Martinsburg, PA.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Craig Dewalt, II, and siblings, Edwin Harris and Leon Harris.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 11 AM at Encounter Church, 220 Campbelltown Road, Palmyra. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. There will be a visitation from 10 AM until 11 AM at the church.
