George W. Heist, Jr., 54, of Jonestown passed away on Wednesday July 7, 2021, at his residence. He was the husband of Laura (Denson) Heist. They had just celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary on June 20, 2021.

Born in Lebanon on June 21, 1967, he was the son of George W. Heist, Sr. and wife Marian of Lebanon, and stepfather Samuel Davis and his mother June Davis of Lebanon. He was a welder and painter for Treyco Manufacturing in Lebanon. He enjoyed working on older cars, watching car races, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by a daughter Tanya Heist of AL, stepchildren Christopher Hosper of GA, Natasha E. Hosper of Jonestown, Janet M. Hosper of Jonestown, and Douglas E. Hosper of Jonestown, ten grandchildren, brother George Robert Heist of Lebanon, sister Melissa Evan’s of OH, stepbrothers Chuck & John Whary of Lebanon, several nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Theresa Heist-Nicholas, paternal grandparents Donald & Julia Heist, maternal grandmother Dorothy Evans, cousin Devin Evans, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial services will on Monday, July 12, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt.72 & Camp Meeting Rd. Jonestown. A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to the start of the service. There will be no burial.
