George William Patches, Sr., 66, of Lebanon, passed away on July 23, 2025, at Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late David Sr. and Margaretta (Brewer) Patches. He was married to Rose (Royer) Patches for 27 years.

George was a 1977 graduate of Cedar Crest High School. He worked for various places in Lebanon and most recently at Henry Molded Products, Inc. George was an avid Eagles, Phillies, and Hershey Bears fan. He was known to be the goofy life of the party and rocked out on the air guitar often. George absolutely loved his family and made sure they were at the center of his life.

In addition to Rose, George is survived by four children: Douglas Patches (Brandy), George Patches, Jr. (Tara), Steven Patches, and Cassandra Patches; two stepchildren: Timothy and Amber Snyder; 8 siblings: Joann Rutter, Ruth Shade, David Patches, Jr. (Deborah), Thomas Patches, Sr., Renee DeJongh (Lee), Jeffrey Patches, Tammy Smith (Bud), and Heidi Patches; 16 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by 7 siblings: Leatta Leathers, Carol Buckmoyer, Kathy Ream, Faith Brought, Christine Dimmick, Ginny “Pinky” Zornes, and James Patches, Sr.

The family will receive guests from 5-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Snyder Bean Funeral Home & Crematory, 890 Isabel Drive, Lebanon, PA 17042. A time of sharing will take place from 7:30-8 p.m. Please come with a favorite George memory to share.
