Gerald L. Mohn, 82, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at his home. He was the husband of the late Peggy A. Myers Mohn.

Born in Jonestown on August 15, 1940, he was the son of the late Frank G. and Mildred I. Spangler Mohn.

Following high school, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. For over 20 years, he worked as a mechanic for the former Myers Autos Sales in Fredericksburg. He retired from Weaber Sawmill, where he had also worked as a mechanic. Following his retirement, he returned and was their parts runner. He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Fredericksburg, where, for many years, he served on the consistory and treasurer. He was also a member of the Fredericksburg American Legion. Jerry enjoyed going hunting and out to breakfast. He also always enjoyed watching the Phillies, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly S., wife of Jarrod Kapp, of S. Annville Twp.; a son, Kenneth S. Mohn, of Wilkes Barre; grandsons, Dylan (Anna) and Daulton (Crystalene) Kapp; great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Alexis, Essie, Remi, and Ryan; brothers, Franklin Mohn, of Donaldson, and Ronald Mohn, of Jonestown; sisters, Joyce Saphore, of Lebanon, and Rita Heffelfinger, of Palmyra; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Mohn, Kenneth Mohn, and Craig Mohn.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A viewing will begin at 10 a.m. and until the start of the service. Interment with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
