Gerald L.  Yeakley, Sr., 84, of Myerstown, PA, died Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Masako Y. (Yamada) Yeakley, who died in 2003.
 
Born in Myerstown, PA on Aug. 29, 1936, he was the son of the late Ruth E. (Brecht) and Ray L. Yeakley. A 1954 graduate of Myerstown High School, Gerald retired from Bahney’s Funiture in 1998. Mr. Yeakley served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1963. He enjoyed making models and dioramas of WWII military tanks and airplanes, reading on his Kindle, Pinterest, and adult coloring.
 
Surviving are daughters, Cynthia Dinger, of Wyomissing and Christine (Christopher) Bringman, of Lebanon, sons, Gerald (Christi) Yeakley, Jr, of Newmanstown and Robert Yeakley, of Myerstown, nine grandchildren, Amanda, Zachary, Tyler, Anthony, Samantha, Jeremiah, Robert, Jr., Alex, and Sarah, and six great-grandchildren, Teagan, Ryker, Logan, Micha, Kainen and Robert the III.
 
In addition to his wife, and parents, Gerald was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Marks.
 
A visitation will be held Friday, March 5, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Grose Funeral Home, Inc. 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, PA 17067. Memorial service is private.
