Geraldine E. “Gerry” Long, 81, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022, at her residence. Gerry was the wife of the late Leon M. Long, who passed away in 2018.

Gerry was born in Lebanon on December 20, 1941, to the late Floyd A. and Violet R. (Satteshan) Lerch.

She was a seamstress for various companies and had also been a baker for Zweier’s Grocery and Weis Markets. She attended Rocherty United Methodist Church for a long time. She enjoyed being a seamstress, coloring, and visiting with friends and family. She enjoyed her Saturday night dinners and Monday breakfasts with her friends. Her greatest enjoyment was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Robert L. Long (Patrice), Karen R. Lerch-Derr, Robin D. Lerch-Smith (Scott), and Tina M. Long, six grandchildren, Joshua, Adina, Daniel, Ian, Cory, and Ina, 10 great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Robert Lerch, Russell Lerch, Larry Lerch, and Gladys Lerch-Kelly.

She was preceded in death by her son, Allen R. Long, and siblings, Ken Lerch, Ronald Lerch, Walter “Shorty” Lerch, Glenn Lerch, and Gloria “Sis” Lerch-Sweigart.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 11 AM at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main Street, Annville, PA. Interment will be with her husband at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. There will be a visitation from 10 AM until 11 AM.
