Ginny “Pinky” Zornes, 72, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late David C. Sr. and Margaretta J. (Brower) Patches.
Pinky, as everyone called her, was a name she received at a young age for her obsessive watching of “The Pinky Lee Show.” She was a fun-loving, spitfire of a woman who always kept people laughing with her dirty sense of humor.
She was an avid Washington Redskins fan and was the first to tell you the score of that day’s football game. She spent many nights singing the words of her favorite song on karaoke and was always down for a duet, whether on the stage or in the car. She spent hours watching slapstick comedy, laughing heartily at the Three Stooges. She loved a good game of pool, often skinning many challengers. She was a zealous player of the lottery, often seen at Weis buying her numbers and scratch-off tickets.
She was a hard worker and was beloved by many co-workers. Ginny retired from the Hershey Medical Center after 16 dedicated years working in the Environmental Health Department as a housekeeper, where she received countless certificates and awards for her service and dedication.
She was adamant about the love she had for her family, friends, and pet bird, Spooky. Pinky will be dearly missed by those surviving her.
Surviving Pinky are her daughter, Lisa (Darryl) Snook; son, Tad Widner; grandchildren, Ashlyn Senseny, Ari Hamilton-Gery, and Valerie Harrell; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Harrell and Katelyn Harrell; and siblings, Joann Rutter, Ruth Shade, David (Debra) Patches Jr., Thomas Patches Sr., Renee (Lee) DeLong, George (Rose) Patches Sr., Jeffrey Patches, Tammy (Bud) Smith, and Heidi Patches.
Preceding her death are her siblings, Leatta Leathers, Carole-Faye Buckmoyer, Kathy Ream, Faith Brought, James Patches Sr., and Christine Dimmick.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, May 19, 2025, from 3-6 p.m., at Snyder Bean Funeral Home, 890 Isabel Dr., Lebanon, PA 17042, and online condolences can be made at www.snyderbeanfuneralhome.com.
