Gladys A. Wampler, 96, of Palmyra passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Londonderry Village. She was the wife of the late Harold E. Wampler who passed away in 1980.
Born in Mt. Zion she was a daughter of the late John B. and Elva M. (Royer) Lentz.
Gladys worked alongside her late husband on the family farm and was a member of the Annville Church of the Brethren where she was involved with the quilting group, kitchen committee, and the Sunday School class. Gladys was very family-oriented and was a great cook and baker, loved her family, and was a very special lady and a great mother-in-law to Sharon, Lynn, and Lon.
She is survived by her two daughters Barbara A., wife of Lynn Sterner of Manheim, and Kaye W., wife of Lon Anderson of Harrisburg; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and her daughter-in-law Sharon L. Wampler of Lebanon.
Gladys was preceded in death by her son Dennis E. Wampler; one great-grandchild and two siblings Ray Lentz and Anna Lentz.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 11:30 AM from the Annville Church of the Brethren, 495 E. Maple St., Annville Pastor Paul Liepelt officiating. Viewing and interment will be private. A visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of her service at the Church.
