Gladys L. (Muzzy) Laudermilch, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Columbia Cottage, Palmyra. Born Monday, May 12, 1924 in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Estel (Lockwood) Muzzy. She was married to Garman C. Laudermilch for over 65 years until his death on September 26, 2012.
Gladys was a loving mother and devoted herself to raising her family and supporting her husband, who owned and operated one of the largest supermarkets in Lebanon County, Save U Market. After raising her family, Gladys achieved one of her lifetime goals by becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon.
Gladys was a lifetime member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Palmyra. She loved to travel but her first love was spending time at the shore in Ocean City, New Jersey. She was a huge fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and spent many Sundays attending their games at Franklin Field and watching on TV.
She is survived by three sons: Gary Laudermilch, married to Jill, of Annville; Glenn Laudermilch, married to Mary Jo, of Hershey and Greg Laudermilch, of Palmyra. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two sisters.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078, 717-838-9211. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Closed casket visitation will be held from 10:30AM until the time of the service on Thursday.
