Glen E. Moyer, 83, formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Lebanon Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Ruth E. (Strack) Moyer.

Born in New Ringgold on Nov. 19, 1939, he was the son of the late Irvin and Catherine (Reily) Moyer.

Glen graduated from Bethel High School. He served in the Air Force during peace times. Glen went on to get his master’s degree and became an Industrial Arts Teacher for Northern Lebanon School District. He then taught with the Tamaqua School District until he retired in 2002. He was a member of Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, where he was an active member since 1965. Glen enjoyed mission trips and was always involved in the mission department at the church. He also was the former owner of Minuteman Press in Lebanon.

He is survived by a son, Carl F. Moyer, of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, Katie Moyer, Jennifer Moyer, and Bret Alcantar; and brother, Dale Moyer, of Dover.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Mark A. Moyer and David L. Moyer.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, Rte. 343 and Shirksville Rd., Fredericksburg. The viewing will be from 10 a.m. till the start of the service. Interment will be at Goshert’s UCC Cemetery.
