Glen E. Peiffer, 82, formerly of Palmyra, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of the late Karen L. Peiffer, who passed away on March 12, 2023.
Glen was born in Lebanon on Nov. 5, 1941, to the late Donald and Isabel (Kunkel) Peiffer.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Lebanon Valley College and his master’s degree from West Chester State College. Glen was a music teacher for 35 years, of which 26 were in the Central Dauphin School District. He was a faithful member of the former First EC Church in Lebanon, where he served as choir director for over 43 years. He also was an organist and enjoyed attending concerts and symphonies. He also enjoyed visiting amusement parks and many other fun experiences with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving is his children, Kristin E. Coté (Mark), of Palmyra, and Brent J. Peiffer (Amanda), of Manheim; grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob, and Rachel Coté, and Luke and Benjamin Peiffer; and sisters, Linda Chidester and Jean Fulmer (Dennis).
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Victoria Grace Coté.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 10 a.m., at Chestnut Street Community Center (formerly the First EC Church), 607 Chestnut St., Lebanon. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, Lebanon. There will be a viewing from 9-10 a.m., at the church.
