Glenda Louise Adams of Longwood, FL, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 at the age of 85. She was born on March 1, 1939, in Lebanon, PA, where she grew up.
She graduated from South Lebanon High School, Class of 1957, and Bryland School of Cosmetology, Class of 1957.
She worked as a cosmetologist and then pursued an outstanding career as a MOTHER. She concluded her working career as a legal office administrator.
She was actively involved in Garden of Son Shine, a Global Christian Ministries Forum Church, where she had an active prayer and counseling ministry; and American Sewing Guild, Orlando Chapter, where she served two terms as President. She enjoyed quilting and was an accomplished oil on canvass artist with GLAD as her signature.
Glenda had a green thumb. She was masterful at bringing out the best in her plants and her friends. She thoroughly enjoyed her yard with its white fence, flower gardens and her patio. Glenda was not one dimensional. Later in life she used her creativity to create mosaics. She pressed on until she created works of art that garnished 1st place at several Orange County State Fairs.
She enjoyed life. Glenda had the uncanny ability to put people at ease and to make them laugh. Many felt her ministry was the gift of laughter.
