Glenn G. Rudy, 81, of Jonestown, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023, at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Margaret L. (Moyer) Rudy, and they had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June.

Born in Fredericksburg on March 6, 1942, he was the son of the late Harvey and Edna (Miller) Rudy.

Glenn worked for Plasterer Equipment as a mechanic and then in the service and sales department for 46 years. He attended the Moonshine United Zion Church. Glenn enjoyed going to auctions, John Deere tractors, going up to his cabin, hunting with his boys, and working in his garage fixing things. He served on the NLCA for 30 years plus and the Union Township Planning Commission.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, James E., husband of Jackie Rudy, of Harrisburg, and Michael L., husband of Sheila Rudy, of Jonestown; grandsons, Brandon, Derek, husband of Lindsey Krizan, and Zach; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Finley; brothers, Ira, Gerald, and Ray; and sister, Betty Schriver.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Richard, Roy, Guy, Kenneth, Harold, Lester, and Ralph Rudy; and his sister, Arlene Walmer.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 18, 2023, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown. There will be a viewing two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Chapel Cemetery.
