Gloria J. Brandt, 81, of Schaefferstown, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, with family by her side.
Born on Nov. 15, 1944, in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Wayne Jr. and Dorothy Dubble. Gloria was the beloved wife of Elmer G. Brandt, recently marking 60 years of marriage. Gloria was known for her sense of humor. She enjoyed car shows with her husband and granddaughter, reading mysteries, doing puzzles, watching the Phillies, baking desserts, working at the Sharing Cupboard at her church, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Gloria is survived by her daughter, Tahia Arnick, wife of Michael; granddaughter, Rachel Arnick; brother, Gary Dubble, husband of Sherry; brother-in-law, Delbert Gassert; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Gassert; and brother, Timothy Dubble.
A memorial is being held at the Myerstown Church of the Brethren on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025. Visitation begins at 10 a.m., with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Interment will be held in the future at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Myerstown Church of the Brethren Sharing Cupboard in her name.
