Grace E. Shifflett, 86, of Lebanon, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at the Lebanon Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late Charles F. Shifflett, who died in 2003.
Born in Jonestown on April 13, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Victor D. and Elizabeth N. (Nye) Kline.
Grace graduated from Jonestown High School with the Class of 1956. She worked as a sewing machine operator at the Herman Herzman Mill. She also worked as a production line worker for Hershey Foods until she retired. Grace attended God’s Missionary Church in Lebanon, and she enjoyed coloring and doing word searches.
She is survived by her children, Charles E. Shifflett, and his girlfriend, Lori Hoffman, of Jonestown, John M. Shifflett, of Lebanon, and Debra M. Shifflett, of Lebanon; grandchildren, Courtney Lively, Alexis Lively, Chloe Shifflett, Jeremy Shifflett, Nathan Shifflett, and Noah Shifflett; and sisters, Annie Snyder, Esther Leonard, and Mildred Metrick.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, David H. Kline, Victor D. Kline Jr., Jim Kline, and Sam Kline; and sisters, Ruth Mauer, Martha Simmons, Dorothy Engle, and Elizabeth Hartman.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, at the God’s Missionary Church, 2127 Hill St., Lebanon. There will be a public viewing from 10 a.m. to the start of the service. Interment will follow at Wenger Cemetery in Jonestown.
