Grace M. Dennis, 87, of Spang Crest, and formerly of Jonestown, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Spang Crest. She was the wife of the late Harold R. Dennis.

Born in Jonestown on May 17, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Leroy P. and Irene M. Gerberich Mohn.

For many years, she had worked as the District Secretary for Senator Manbeck. She then retired from the Dept. of Agriculture in 1991. Grace was a graduate of the Jonestown High School Class of 1953. She was a member of the Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jonestown, the Jonestown Perseverance, the Fredericksburg American Legion Post #915, and she was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #23 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her sons, Robert A., husband of Cheri Derr, of Panama City Beach, FL, and Barry, husband of Michelle Derr, of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter, Charlotte M. White, of Pine Grove; step-son, Rick, husband of Deborah Dennis, of Poughkeepsie, NY; brother, Philip Mohn, of Jonestown; and three grandchildren, Sierra and Colton Derr and David Dennis.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald L. Mohn, and sister, Ruth M. Mohn.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Jonestown.
