Harold A. Reist, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on November 5th at the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville, PA.

He was born in Jackson Township, Lebanon County, on July 15, 1929, to the late Mays and Alma Marks Reist.

Harold was a member of the Fairland Brethren in Christ Church, Cleona. Besides serving as Deacon, he taught Sunday School and was on the church board for years. Harold also served on the Child Evangelism Fellowship board of directors. He retired from the Lebanon County Career and Technology Center, where he taught as the Small Engine Repair and Wholesaling & Materials Management teacher. He previously worked as a parts manager for R&J Motors. He was a former member of the Lebanon Valley Hiking Club, Keystone Trails Association, and Capital PenNScalers NTRAK model train club.

He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn L., wife of Ronald W. Altmann, Aurora, OH, son James R., husband of Jeanne Reist of Cleona, and son John A., husband of Shellaine Reist of Palmyra; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet, on December 30, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at Fairland Brethren in Christ Church, 529 W. Penn Ave, Cleona. Viewing from 6-8 pm Friday, November 11, and Saturday, November 12, 9-10 AM, service at 10 AM. Interment will be following the service at Kochenderfer’s Cemetery, in North Lebanon Twp.
