Harold B. Heilman, 70, of Myerstown, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon.
Born in Palmyra on Mar. 23, 1950, he was the son of the late Harold Phillip and Selma Amanda (Bowman) Heilman.
A 1968 graduate of Palmyra High School, Harold studied forestry at Penn State University. He was employed at Lebanon Valley Offset in Annville, for almost 30 years, and Strine Printing in York, for over 20 years. In addition to being an eagle scout, he was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for herpetology and was known locally as “The Snake Man” for the educational presentations he made.
He is survived by daughters, Lisa, wife of Andrew Stohler, of Fredericksburg, Vanessa Heilman, of Palmyra; sons, Jason Heilman, of Palmyra, Adam Heilman, of Cleona, Seth Lucas Heilman, of Washington, DC; grandchildren, Hunter, Brittany, Parker, Collin, Andrew, Jr., Karma, and Erik; great-grandson, Malcolm; sisters, Jean Donovan, of Palmyra, and Fay Gutshall, of Palmyra; nephew, Scott; and nieces, Kathleen and Pauline.
Services and inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
