Harold E. White, 86, of Myerstown, passed away on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at the WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris (Clentimack) White, and his second wife, Helen (Henry) White.
Harold was born on Staten Island on Mar. 25, 1934, to the late Harry White and Ella (Stohler). He was a U.S. Army veteran. He served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne division. He had worked as a mechanic in repairs. He had also worked for Kleinfelter Chevrolet, Sordoni Construction, and Jones Motors. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed walking. He was walking up to two miles a day until recently. His family meant everything to him, especially his grandchildren.
Harold is survived by his children, Gary White, and his wife, Sandra, of Palmyra, Terri Carlock, and her husband, Tom, of Harrisburg, granddaughters, Alyssa and Emily, great-granddaughters, Ava Marie and Adelise, and his sister, Anna Mae Haak. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Jeff Petry, Jerry Petry, and Judy Gettle, and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, Kenneth, and Richard White, his sister, Marion Reigle, and his stepdaughter, Jeannie Hyypio.
Services will be held privately. He will be laid to rest in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
