Harold F. Sattesahn, age 81, was born on April 6th, 1942, in Lebanon, PA, to Charles Sattesahn and Margaret Sattesahn nee Lerch. Harold passed away on June 8th, 2023, at the VA Medical Center.
Harold served in the Army during the Vietnam War. After his service, he worked for 34 years as a Mill Operator at Alcoa. He loved his work and dedicated himself to it until his retirement.
Harold had many interests and hobbies, including building and upholstering furniture and camping. For nine years, he dedicated much of his time as a Church Custodian. His work ethic was unparalleled and he always gave all that he could when working on a project.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His family and friends were very dear to him. Surviving family includes Rachel Eileen Sattesahn, his loving wife; Kevin Sattesahn, and spouse, Lynn, and Craig Sattesahn, and spouse, Stefanie, his two sons; Erin Sattesahn, Matthew Sattesahn, and spouse, Sarah, Lauren Sattesahn, and Morgan Sattesahn, his four grandchildren; Dorothy Umberger, and spouse, Marlin, Sallie Kiphorn, Ed Sattesahn, and spouse, Brenda, and Linda Dubbs, and spouse, Rodney, his siblings. Harold was preceded in death by Janet Hunt (sister) and Sharon Mock (sister).
A viewing for Harold will be held at Kochenderfer United Methodist Church in Lebanon on June 15th from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at the same location from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. A graveside service will then be held at Kochenderfer’s “Zion” Cemetery.Â
Harold will always be remembered as a dedicated and hardworking man who loved his family dearly. He touched the lives of many, and his legacy will live on through them.
