Harry M. Koons, 85, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, surrounded by his loving family, at the Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Carolyn K. (Deck) Koons of Fredericksburg. They had just celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary this past July.

Born in Bachmanville on August 30, 1937, he was the son of the late Roy E. and Olive E. (Bomberger) Koons.

Harry was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg. He was a lifelong farmer and had his own farm for over 40 years. He also drove truck for Bell & Evans.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, David S. husband of Tonya Koons, and a daughter, Beverley A. wife of Robert Brandt; grandchildren, Joshua husband of Anastasia Brandt, Katie Brandt, Daniel, and Deidra Koons; great-grandson, James.

He was preceded in death by brothers Lynn, Jerry, and Michael Koons and sister Janet M. Kleinfelter.

Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.
