Heather Claire (Aurentz) Whorley, 90, passed away peacefully on Nov. 16, 2024. She was the loving wife of the late Earl Richard Whorley, who passed away on March 31, 2024. They were married for 68 years.
Heather was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, on Nov. 1, 1943. She was the daughter of Herman and Claire (Sherman) Aurentz. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School, Class of 1952.
Heather was a life member of St. Mark’s United Church of Christ, Lebanon, where she served as a deacon and a member of Lebanon County Church Women. She was employed and retired from the State Treasury Department, Office of Unemployment Compensation.
Heather enjoyed many trips with her family to the cabin in Clinton County, cheering on the Phillies, gardening, and reading. Her greatest joys were her two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
Surviving is her daughter, Melody, married to Dennis Gable; granddaughters, Alicia Gable and Jennifer Van Fossen (Richard); great-granddaughter, Lena Van Fossen; and brother, Jeffrey Aurentz.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Vincent and William Aurentz.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, at 1 p.m. in Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
