Helen E. Zengerle, 98, of Newtown Square, formerly of Annville, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late William P. Zengerle, who passed away in 2008.

Born in Annville, she was a daughter of the late Nazareth and Maria (DiAngelis) Mariani.

Helen was a 1942 graduate of Annville High School and was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, where she was a member of the founding choir of St. Paul’s, and served on the liturgy committee and advisory board. Helen also enjoyed being a part of the faith-sharing group and scripture class. She was a natural caregiver and loved everyone. Helen cherished time with her family and loved cooking and gardening.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynette M., wife of Bruce Killen, of Newtown Square; two granddaughters, Bridget Killen and Nicolette Killen; and one great-granddaughter, Charlotte “Charlie” Bacho.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Anthony, Domenic, and Dick Mariani; and five sisters, Edith Embar, Anna Balaster, Rose Mariani, Della Marino, and Evelyn Lear.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 11 AM from St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 125 S. Spruce St., Annville, with Rev. Kevin Coyle as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of her Funeral Mass at the Church.
