Helen M. Fetzer, 97, of Lebanon, passed away on July 1, 2025, at The Lebanon Valley Home, Annville. She was the widow of Robert N. Fetzer, who passed away on Jan. 10, 2017, and with whom she celebrated 69 years of marriage.
Born on Mother’s Day, May 13, 1928, Helen was the firstborn of nine children to the late William and Helen (Shay) Umberger. She was a 1946 graduate of Lebanon High School and enjoyed meeting her classmates in the Lunch Bunch. She was a lifetime member of the Moravian Church of Lebanon, where she served as a trustee, Sunday school teacher, and Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling with her husband, and cross-stitch quilting. She was also a fan of the Phillies and Penn State football.
Helen is survived by her sons, Bob Fetzer (Beth), of Lebanon, and Cory Fetzer (Ann), of Myerstown; daughter, Pat Fetzer, of Jonestown; grandchildren, Stephanie (Roy) McMullen, Tim Fetzer (Jenifer), Todd Fetzer, and Josh Fetzer; great-grandchildren, Breanna Leibensperger (Dakota), Moira McMullen, and Karter, Kendalynn, and Tenley Fetzer; great-great-granddaughter, Oaklyn Leibensperger; and several nieces, nephews, and inlaws.
Helen was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill, Herb, Charlie, Clyde, and Bob Umberger; and sisters, Ruth Tobias, Kathryn Adams, and Jean Piper.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 10, at Christman’s Funeral Home, Lebanon. Visitation at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service.
