Helene Eisenhauer, 96, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021. Born in Lebanon on Feb. 19, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marie (Springborn) Eisenhauer.
Helene resided in the same family home for 96 years, living, working, and participating in the City of Lebanon. She was involved in various committees, including the National Council of Catholic Women, the Red Cross, and the Senior Center. During the war, she was in the cadet nurse corp. She earned her nursing degree at Lebanon Valley College and worked at the Lebanon VA, where she worked until she retired.
Helene traveled throughout the United States visiting each and every state. Gardening, hiking, “the woods,” and her family were her passions. She could be found every day at St. Mary’s Church for early Mass, then coffee with the ladies, after which she’d visit to help at the food bank and the public library.
She is proceeded in death by her siblings, Charles, Henry, Lucy, Joe, Marie, Rosemary, Ruth, and Richard. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 15th at Holy Cross Cemetery in Lebanon. In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2 N. 8th St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
