Henry Kenneth “Ken” Henne, 84, passed away on April 11, 2025, at his home, surrounded by family, in Lebanon, PA.
Henry Henne was born on May 20, 1940, in Manheim, PA, to Ray and Edna Henne. After high school, Henry started a long career in construction as a laborer, bridge builder, and heavy equipment operator. Some of his proudest achievements include having directly worked on building the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery as well as refurbishing the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg. Prior to his construction career, he also worked as a blaster at the Cornwall mines in Lebanon County. Henry ultimately ended his career and retired from Lancaster, PA’s Wohlsen Construction Company.
Henry married Paulette Henne, nĂ©e Houser. The couple was married for over 50 years and had three children, Samuel (Lisa) Henne, Terry (Andrea) Henne, and Randy (Elaine) Henne. Henry, equally known as “Ken” to his friends and family, will be remembered as a true outdoor enthusiast. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time with family. Henry was passionate about reloading and growing his collection of firearms, and he remained active with various shooting sports clubs in his local community. But above all this, and more importantly, Henry is remembered by all for having been an awesome grandfather and dad.
Henry is survived by his sons, Samuel (Lisa), Terry (Andrea), and Randy (Elaine); sister, Alice; sister-in-law, Kay; grandchildren, Megan, Gregory, Kasie, Truman, and Mason; and great-grandchildren, Whitney, Wyatt, Jack, and Reese.
Henry is preceded in death by his wife, Paulette.
The service for Mr. Henry Henne will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Christman’s Funeral Home, Inc., with the viewing to begin at 10 a.m. Graveside services are scheduled for 12 p.m. at Hill Church Cemetery.
