Henry Smith, Jr., of Harrisburg, was born April 11, 1971, in Lebanon, PA. He died on June 17, 2022, at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 51. He was the devoted husband of Carolyn Kathy (McGraw) Smith. They would have celebrated their 5th anniversary on July 7th.
Henry graduated from Cedar Crest High School in 1989 and was an industrial mechanic at HB Reese. He was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church, in Mechanicsburg, PA.
He enjoyed many different hobbies, including photography, locksmithing, computer technology, and working in his fish room. He liked being outdoors, especially in the woods.
He died as he lived his life, with joy and fierce loyalty to his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father, Henry Smith Sr. of Lebanon; sons Luke Henry Smith and Korey Logan Smith of Palm City, Florida; stepchildren Chyveta D. LaBoy of Hershey, Michael J. LaBoy of Palmyra, Victoria O. LaBoy of Connellsville, PA, Charity E. LaBoy of Harrisburg, and Precious J. Severino of Hershey; sisters Laura L. Follett, wife of D. Scott, of Springfield, OR and Pamela S. Smith of Etters; and grandfather, Henry W. Smith of Lebanon.
He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Nevaeh, Arianna, Jadiel, and Esmé; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Henry Alexander Smith; mother Catherine M. (Stickler) Smith; maternal grandparents Arthur and Catherine Stickler; paternal grandmother, Martha L. Smith; and several aunts and uncles.
