Herman C. Stumpf, 90, of Lebanon, PA, died Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Mary E. (Deitz) Stumpf, who died August 24, 2013.
Born in Lebanon, PA on October 24, 1930, he was the son of the late Nicholas F. and Catherine A. (Arnold) Stumpf. Herman attended Lebanon High School. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Herman was employed as a topper at No Mend Hosiery from 1947-1951. He also owned and operated Herman C. Stumpf Masonry, Quentin, for 16 years, retiring in 1992. Herman was a lifetime member of the Shellsville VFW Post 9639, and enjoyed bowling and doing yard work.
He is survived by daughters, Lucinda, wife of Donald Hundley, of Panama City Beach, FL, Jane Walker, of Pasadena, MD, Sally, wife of Timothy Dugan, of Hershey, son, Herman Stumpf, Jr., husband of Barbara Lindsay, of Arlington, TX, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sisters, Rosemary Arnick, of Lebanon, Kathleen Kimmel, of Lebanon, Doris Andrews, of Cleona, brothers, Carl, husband of Wanda Stumpf, of Australia, Joseph, husband of Linda Stumpf, of Annville, sister-in-laws, Rosa Stumpf, of Manheim, Helen Stumpf, of Lebanon, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, George, William, Walter, and Conrad Stumpf.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
