Howard C. “Lightning” Chaney, 89, of Lebanon, died on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, at his home.

He was born on Saturday, Feb. 14, 1931, to the late John D. Chaney and Blanche A. Chaney nee Kinsinger in Somerset. He was a member of the Lebanon Christian Fellowship and worked at Jubilee. He enjoyed cowboy movies, especially John Wayne.

Surviving is wife, Marie B. Chaney nee Light, children, Howard Griffin, George Griffin, Blanche Seiverling, Shirley Griffin, and Wanda Griffin, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, brother, Donald Chaney, and sisters, Nancy Moon, Dorothy Eisentrout, Carol Lee, and Gladys Mitchell. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Vazquez, and several siblings.

Viewing will be on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Christman’s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Chapel Cemetery, Jonestown, following the service.
