Iris Maria Gonzalez Torres, 86, of Lebanon, PA, passed away on July 9, 2026. Born on Jan. 23, 1940, in Utuado, Puerto Rico, she was the beloved daughter of the late Juan Gonzalez and Tomasa Collazo Gonzalez.

A talented and hardworking soul, Iris spent her professional life as a seamstress. Her hands were rarely still, and her craft was a testament to her patience and dedication. Beyond her work, Iris found her greatest joys in the simple beauties of life. She was an avid gardener who loved tending to her plants and found deep peace and strength in her faith, regularly praying the Rosary as a devoted member of St. Benedict’s Church.

Iris was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Baby Boy Torres and Angel L. Torres; and siblings, Eugene Gonzalez, Emilio Gonzalez, and Juanita Rios.

She is survived by her siblings, Elisa Lopez, Maya Acevedo, Heriberto Gonzalez, Jose A. Gonzalez, Manuel A. Gonzalez, and Carmelo Gonzalez; loving daughter, Carmen M. Barreiro, wife of Juan J. Barreiro; cherished grandchildren, Natasha L. Nieves, wife of Pedro Jesus Garcia II, Angel L. Nieves, Keymyra Barreiro, Modesto Rivera, husband of Rica-Delgado Nieves, and Ernesto Rivera, husband of Bianca Rivera; precious great-grandchildren, Pedro Jesus Garcia III, Kaiden Xavier Garcia, Carmine L. Rivera, Anthony Rivera, Alexa Rivera Delgado, Roman Louis Rivera, Gia Lilyana Rivera, and Nico Joseph Rivera; and family dog, Mayor. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion lives on through her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at St. Mary’s Church, 2 N. 8th St., Lebanon, PA 17046. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
