Isaac H. Albright, 90, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, at home. He was the husband of Joan M. (Kirkwood) Albright.
Born in Jonestown on Mar. 12, 1930, Isaac was the son of the late Isaac and Louella (Heisey) Albright. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was a faithful and active member of St. Cecilia’s Church, volunteering countless hours with the annual donut sales, chicken BBQ’s, and bingo. After 15 years of service as postmaster for the Fredericksburg Post Office, Isaac retired. Just before his retirement, he spearheaded and was able to see his dream come true – the groundbreaking and opening day for the site Fredericksburg’s very own post office. He also enjoyed polka dancing, roller skating, and tackling jigsaw puzzles. Isaac was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and proudly displayed both of his signed footballs, especially the one from Andy Reid.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Debra Chipperfield, of Norristown, and Thomas M. Albright, of Lebanon; a granddaughter whom he raised, Ann Marie Sliver, of York; six additional grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was the last of his immediate family. Isaac was preceded in death by two sons, David and Dennis Albright.
Funeral services will be held privately. Interment will full military honors will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Isaac’s name may be made to St. Cecilia’s Church, 120 E. Lehman St., Lebanon, PA 17046. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
