Isabelle M. (Whorley) Seibert, 89, of Palmyra, went home to be with Jesus and to her complete healing on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the Ephrata Community Hospital after a brief illness. She was just three months away from her 90th birthday. Born Sept. 23, 1934, in Annville, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Edna (Becker) Whorley. She was married for over 69 years to Kenneth R. “Mike” Seibert before his passing in 2021.

Isabelle was a long-time attendee of the Reamstown Church of God. A waitress and food service worker, she worked at Reese’s Factory before the birth of her daughter and later at the former Twin Kiss in Palmyra, as well as Funck’s Restaurant and Hershey Chocolate World, before retiring at the age of 82. She loved gardening, canning, cooking, making sauerkraut, writing letters and cards, and singing. She had a work ethic second to none. She played the accordion and taught Children’s Church for many years at the Lebanon Church of God. However, her greatest joy in life was her three granddaughters and supporting her daughter.

Surviving are her daughter, Tabetha (“Beth”) A. Haldeman, and husband, Rob, of Ephrata; granddaughters, Summer Joy, and husband, Trevor Lambert, Aubrey Hope, and Robin Rae, all of Ephrata; sister, June Weit; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her.

She was predeceased by her siblings, George Whorley and Earl Whorley, in addition to her parents.

The family would like to thank the staff at Fairmount Homes for the excellent care she received the last two years, as well as the doctors and nurses at Ephrata Community Hospital over the course of her four-day illness.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Reamstown Church of God, 400 Pfautz Hill Road, Stevens, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing at the church on Sunday, June 23, from 6-8 p.m. or from 10-11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. There will be no graveside service.
