Ivan Z. Martin, 102, of Richland, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024, at the Richland Christian Home. He was the husband of the late Esther W. Martin.

Born in Ephrata Township, Lancaster County, on Aug. 26, 1922, he was the son of the late David N. and Lydia (Zimmerman) Martin.

He was a member of Lebanon Valley Mennonite Church, Myerstown, where he enjoyed teaching and studies of Bible prophesy. Ivan and his wife, Esther, lived in the village of Prescott, Lebanon County, for 60 years. While there, Ivan worked in his shop, providing a variety of services for the farming community. He manufactured agricultural-related items, including Hydroponic Grass Units. Ivan and Esther also sold health products for many years.

He is survived by six children, Kenneth, husband of Rhoda (Kauffman), of Myerstown, Galen, husband of Ruth (Gingrich), of Myerstown, Ivan Jr., husband of Doris (Gehman), of Myerstown, Dennis, husband of Geraldine (Martin), of Newmanstown, Clinton, husband of Ella (Peachey), of Newmanstown, and Merle, husband of Gina (Martin), of Myerstown. He is also survived by 40 grandchildren, 184 great-grandchildren, 72 great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Lydia Zimmerman, of Memphis, MO.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Geraldine, wife of Elvin Stauffer; son, Myron, husband of Lorene (Sensenig) Martin; two grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers; and four sisters.

The viewing, funeral, and interment will be held at the Lebanon Valley Mennonite Church, 7821 Lancaster Ave., Myerstown. There will be a viewing on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service is on Monday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m., preceded by a viewing from 9-10 a.m.
