Jacob Bootsma Sr., of Myerstown, PA, passed away on Aug. 25, 2025, at the hospital in Harrisburg, PA.
Jacob was born in Holland on Dec. 2, 1938. He immigrated to America in 1948 along with his parents and seven siblings. He was the son of Ane Bootsma and Ruth Rusticus Bootsma, who later had four other children in the United States.
Jacob married and had five children. Surviving are Jacob Bootsma Jr., Sarah Jane Pettit, Daniel Alan Bootsma, and James Edward Bootsma. He was predeceased by Steven Andrew Bootsma and Amanda Marie Bootsma.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Harmony Christian Fellowship, 30 Camp Swatara Road, Myerstown, PA.
