Jacob R. Bender, 88, of Lebanon, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, at Cedar Haven Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Rose M. (Gasta) Bender.

Born in Lebanon, PA on Jan. 10, 1932, Jacob was a son of the late Jacob H. and Bertha (Dunmoyer) Bender. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. Jacob loved his cat and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and shooting darts.

Jacob is survived by three children, Rosanna M. Stine, wife of Leroy, Debra L. Thierwechter, wife of Gary, and Robert H. Bender; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Shirley, Bruce, Larry, Thomas, and Ronald. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon.
