James A. “Hink” Hinkle, 75, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, at his residence. He was the husband of Marlene (Giosta) Hinkle, with whom he celebrated 24 years of marriage.

Hink was born in Hershey on Aug. 7, 1950, to the late Earl J. and Evelyn (Smith) Hinkle. He was a graduate of Cedar Crest High School. He was also a graduate of Iowa Wesleyan University. Hink was a proud member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He was a program supervisor at EARS (Ephrata Area Rehab Services). He also worked at Cliffside, a cabinet hardware warehouse, as a supervisor. He also worked for DB Fisher as a van driver, and then later for Krise Bus Company. Hink was a member of Christ Church UCC in Annville. He enjoyed golfing, playing Bridge with his friends, going to breakfast with his friends, serving as an umpire in baseball, doing crossword puzzles, putting together 1,000-piece puzzles, and framing some of those pieces. He loved spending time with his friends.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his daughter, Chelsea Miele, of Lebanon; granddaughter, Eden Houser; brother, Ken Hinkle, of Lebanon; and Karen Lampkin, of Hummelstown. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanne Hinkle.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. There will be a visitation from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
