James D. “Jim” Koehler, 91, of Lititz, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Loretta M. (Cavalier) Koehler, to whom he was married for 70 years.
Born in Lebanon, he was a son of the late H. Lee and Mae (Keller) Koehler.
Jim was a 1949 graduate of Lebanon High School and was a mechanic in the military. Jim proudly served in the US Air Force, stationed in Labrador, during the Korean War. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and boating. Jim played cards with various groups of friends and enjoyed Reader’s Digest and word searches.
In addition to his wife Loretta, he is survived by three children, Linda Rubright (Don), of Nashville, TN; Mike Koehler (Sharon), of Lititz; and Vikki Wilbourne (John), of Lillington, NC; five grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by a brother, John (Jack) Koehler.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, 2023, at Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Visitation will be 12:30 pm until 1:00 pm at which time the service will begin. Interment with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the VA Hospice Unit at the Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
