James Edward Fuhrman, 70, of Myerstown, died Saturday, May 29, 2021, at his residence. He was the husband of Jane H. (Haverstick) Fuhrman, to whom he would have been married 47 years in June.
Born in Lebanon, on October 20, 1950, he was the son of the late Edward Paul and Sara Jane (Detwiler) Fuhrman.
He was a 1968 graduate of Lebanon High School, and later a graduate of Reading Area Community College. James served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Met-Ed for over 20 years. James was an avid fan and season ticket holder of Penn State Football and wrestling.
In addition to his wife, James is survived by daughters, Sara, wife of Terrence Faust, of Myerstown, Claire, wife of Charlie Eckenroth, of Myerstown, Kathryn, wife of Joseph Laible, of Temple, TX; son, Edward, husband of Ashley Fuhrman, of Myerstown; grandchildren, Trey and Tyler Faust, Harper, Bennett and Rowan Fuhrman; sister, Jean, wife of Brian O’Donnell, of Lebanon; sister-in-law, Joan Fuhrman, of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Fuhrman.
Services and inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
