James I. “Jim” Bohr, 77, of Annville, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at his residence. He was the husband of Earlene F. (Butz) Bohr, with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage.
Jim was born in Reading, PA, on Sept. 4, 1947, to the late Irvin and Virginia (Manwiller) Bohr.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree at Kutztown University and then did graduate work at Penn State University. He was a computer system analyst manager for the Department of Welfare. Jim was a member of Christ Church UCC in Annville. He was a volunteer firefighter and EMT all his life. His passion was fishing, and he enjoyed doing crossword puzzles with his wife.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his sons, David M. Bohr (Shannon), of Annville, and Jeff A. Bohr (Raji Acharya), of Swarthmore; grandchildren, Joshua, Octavian, and Jeff Jr. “JJ”; and special cousin, Judi Maitland, of Pine City, NY.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 10 a.m., at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with military honors. There will be a viewing from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.
