James (Jim) L. Thompson, 59, formerly of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, after a short illness of colon cancer at the residence of his loving sister, Donna Kramer.
Born in Lebanon on July 9, 1962, he was the son of the late Beatrice (Keith) Thompson and Thomas Ebersole. James was a 1980 graduate of Northern Lebanon High School. He was an avid sports fan and spent decades of Sundays with his lifelong friend, Cliff Kohr and enjoyed spending time with his family. James was recently employed by Walmart as a stocker.
He is survived by five sisters, Ruthann Strickler, Campbelltown; Nancy wife of Kenneth Liskey, Bernville; Donna Kramer, Strausstown; Linda Hoy, Pittsburgh; Sharon wife of Barry Boyer, Myerstown; two brothers, Ronald Ebersole, Lebanon and Donald Thompson husband of Eileen, Adamsdale. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother-in-laws Harold Kramer and Richard Hoy.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Grose Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Interment and graveside service in Sattazahn Church Cemetery, Jonestown.
