James M. Hite, 79, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020, at the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville. He was born Thursday, Jan. 16, 1941, to the late Franklin Daniel and Frances E. (Wert) Hite.
James retired from the Hershey Chocolate Factory as a chocolate molder after almost 39 years of work. He was a long time member of the Lititz Dunkard Brethren Church and was an accomplished writer, wrote for newsletters, and was also very active with church publication. Most importantly, he was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.
He is survived by his daughters: Aimee L. Brandt and Lori A. Faiola, and husband, Dino; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jennie Dimeler and Margie Boughter; and brother, Robert Hite, Sr., and wife, Brenda. He is predeceased by a daughter, Tina M. Clark, and his siblings, Edward, Franklin, Jr., George, and Charles, and a brother-in-law, Robert Dimeler.
A private graveside will take place at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
