James R. Baker, 78, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at home. He was the husband of Joyce J. (Shuey) Baker.

Born in Lancaster, PA on August 3, 1941, James was a son of the late Martin and Catherine (Nissley) Baker. He was a member of St. Benedict’s Church in Lebanon. He enjoyed fishing, collecting coins, and going to the casinos. He had an incredible memory and was legendary for his story telling.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Kim Lesher, wife of Jeff, Richard Baker, husband of Kim, and Susan Baker; three grandchildren, Karisa, Heather, and Samuel; two great grandsons, Darien and Keith; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family.

Funeral services will be held privately. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in James’ name may be made to St. Benedict’s Church, 1300 Lehman St., Lebanon, PA 17046. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
