James R. “Jim” Bowman, 75, of Jonestown, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Denise J. (Groy) Bowman, with whom he celebrated 53 years of marriage.

Jim was born in Lebanon on Feb. 22, 1950, to the late Richard E. Bowman Sr. and Fern I. (Maurer) Bowman. He was a graduate of Hershey High School. Jim was a long-term electrician for Three Mile Island and Met-Ed. He was also contracted through Lebanon Valley College and worked as an electrician. He worked on their stained-glass windows in the chapel. Jim enjoyed woodworking, forging metal knives, working with stained glass, being outdoors, and drag racing. He loved spending time with his beloved dogs, Rocky and Teddy.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his sisters, Barbara Brown, of Fredericksburg, and Karen Lee, of Charlestown, WV; sister-in-law, Marie Bowman; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard E. Bowman Jr., David E. Bowman, Gary L. Bowman, and Patsy Southward.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
