James S. George, 90, of Lebanon, PA, formerly of New Bedford, MA, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Cedar Haven Healthcare Center.
Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mary (Sarhanis) George. Jim retired from Polaroid after 23 years as a safety advisor officer and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a hard worker with a great work ethic, enjoyed playing the piano, and was an artist. He was proud of his Greek heritage.
Jim is survived by his children, Michael S. George, and wife, Kellie, of Lebanon, Dawn M. George, of Massachusetts, and Douglas George; grandchildren, Alicia George, Danielle, wife of Terry Pak, and Nicole George; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Dalton Morse; great-grandchild, Sonni Eunna-Nicole Pak; and sisters, Dorothea MacNeil and Vivian Bravoco.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 10 a.m., at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Indiantown Gap Road, Annville.
