James T. McShane, 73, of Annville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at his residence.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late James R. and Dolores A. (Yost)
McShane.

Jim graduated from Lewisburg Area High School in 1969 and was very active in the musicals put on by the school. He loved acting and singing and all the praise and great write-ups he received for his performances. After graduating and finding out acting was a tough field to go into, he then attended and graduated from Bloomsburg University in accounting. Jim retired in 2018 from Advanced Conversion Technologies, Middletown PA, where he had been a supervisor for 16 years.

Jim had numerous friends and loved meeting for lunch and social gatherings. Going to Hershey Park with his friends’ grandkids, who looked up to him as more of an uncle than just a friend. Jim was a kind and generous soul to those who knew him. He never missed sending and giving out Christmas cards to relatives and neighbors, and he saved all that were sent to him over the years. He had numerous cousins and aunts that he looked up to and kept an open communication with. He loved to write and was passionate about his book collection.

He is survived by two sisters, Sandra A. Peterman, of Williamsport, PA, and Linda McShane, of Norwich, Vermont; two nephews, Noel Gambone and Nick Gambone; and many cousins.

In accordance with Jim’s wishes, there will be no services.
