Jane F. Bashore, 88, of Lebanon, PA, died on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon. She was the wife of Paul M. Bashore, Jr., who died on Mar. 21, 2020.

Born in West Chester, PA on Feb. 8, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Ethel L. (Lewis) Franklin.

A 1950 graduate of West Chester High School, Jane earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Elizabethtown College in 1955. She was employed as a teacher at the Northern Lebanon School District, retiring in 1993. Jane enjoyed going to the opera, cats, birdwatching, reading, baking, sewing, and gardening.

She is survived by sisters-in-law, Bonnie and Gail, brother-in-law, Clark, and nieces. She was preceded in death by brothers, David, Theodore, and Ronald Franklin.

Services and inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
