Jane L. Derr, 71, of Myerstown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Sinking Spring Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was the beloved wife of Glenn H. Derr, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.

Born in Lebanon on Aug. 7, 1954, Jane was the daughter of the late Herbert and Edna (Netzley) Hibshman. A 1972 graduate of ELCO High School, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, especially visits to Disney parks, and was a devoted fan of the television shows Survivor and I Love Lucy. Jane also cherished the companionship of her beloved pets, Molly and Trixie.

Above all, Jane treasured time spent with her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Katie Needham, and her husband, James, of Lovettsville, VA, and Janel Derr and her husband, Brian Kennard, of Robesonia; grandchildren, Max and Ava Needham; sister, Arlene Linn, of Hershey; brother, Herbert “Herb” Hibshman Jr., of Bethlehem; five nephews; and one niece.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
