Janet A. Holmes, 84, of New Cumberland, PA, and Naples, FL died Friday, May 21, 2021, at Spang Crest, Lebanon. She was the wife of the late James H. Holmes.

Born in Altoona, PA on October 18, 1936, she was the daughter of Harry Davis and Alverda Oakes Davis. Janet worked as a Registered Nurse at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. She loved golfing and spending time with her friends in Royal Wood. Janet was an avid Penn State Football fan who especially enjoyed Penn State Football tailgating.

Surviving is a son, J. Bradley Holmes, of Seven Fields, PA, a daughter, Brenda Marsden, wife of Kerry, of Cleona, three sisters, Esther Potter, of Altoona, Peg Trexler, of Altoona, Cleora Winegardner, of Altoona, four grandchildren, Grace, Zachary, Nathan, Hannah, and many nieces and nephews.

A committal service will be held on Monday, June 7 at 11:30 a.m. at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A procession is forming at 10:45 a.m. on Monday at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 East Main Street Annville, PA 17003.

Following the graveside service, a tailgate with food and refreshments “Janet Style” will be held at Memorial Lake State Park, 18 Boundary Road, Grantville, PA 17028.
