Janet M. (Bishop) Fisher, 82, of Wernersville, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, at her residence. She was the wife of the Rev. Frederick I. Fisher, with whom she celebrated 13 years of marriage.
Janet was born in Myerstown on Aug. 26, 1943, to the late Lloyd and Helen (Herneisen) Darkes. She was a 1961 Myerstown High School graduate and then attended beauty school. She was a self-employed hairdresser, having her own salon, Fountain of Beauty, in Annville and then at her own home in Lebanon. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Robesonia and the Lebanon County Cosmetology Association. She loved traveling, flowers, music, and entertaining family and friends.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her children, Gregory Bishop, and his wife, Debra, of Myerstown, and Jill Weister, and her husband, Eric, of Lebanon; stepson, Andrew Fisher (Michele), of Pottstown; stepdaughters, Julie Schneider, and her husband, Rev. George, of Seven Valleys, and Amy Kovalski, and her husband, Edward, of Albertus; grandchildren, Matthew Bishop and Andrew Weister; step-grandchildren, Andrew Fisher, Madison Fisher, Zoey Schneider, and Sophia Kovalski; foster daughter, Leah Hoppes, of Minersville; and sister, Lucille Yarnall, of Myerstown. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Allen L. Bishop; and son, Timothy Bishop.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, at 2 p.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, 108 S. Robeson St., Robesonia, PA. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Zion Goshert’s UCC.
